Vintage Live Concert first album of “Stonehenge RockBand”. It is current and official designation of a group born in Firenze on June 1992. The “rock-band” is currently composed of musicians united by a passion for the rock music and for music in general that is fun for them but also a means to overcome the “harshness of life.” It is a Vintage Band, really vintage as age and sound, that loves to express that in large areas which are most appropriate to bring out the peculiarities of their sound, the result of their experiences. The tunes are covers of the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s (Deep Purple, C.C.R., Rolling Stones, Cream, Santana, Clapton, Hendrix, Black Sabbath). Why this name??
…Stonehenge was built as a dance arena for prehistoric “samba-style” raves, according to a study of the acoustics of the 5,000-year-old stone circle. Using cutting-edge technology, Rupert Till, an expert in acoustics and music technology at Huddersfield University in northern England, discovered that Stonehenge’s megaliths reflect sound perfectly, making the stone circle an ideal setting for listening to repetitive trance rhythms…
By Nicholas Graham
The Band performed successfully during the 2008 demonstrations “FirenzeEstate, Infortezza and Democratic Party”, on 2009 and 2010 at “L’Arena”, including many pubs too. It is now active in Tuscany (Italy) with the main purpose of playing, fun and involving fun people as well as it has done since the beginning of its activities, performed occasionally and exclusively to amateur and not professional.
LP Album
This album, published on 2009, is live recording of the event at L’Arena, Florence (Italy) on June 2009 (less Paranoid recorded live on 2008) and may be considered as a tribute of anonymous musicians to “Rock Music” and to the magic of “delight to play LIVE” being every “live concert” an unique event that takes place between emotions, Larsen effects, sweat and a lot of truth! The slight instrumental and sound’s imperfections (including faulty keyboard during last two tracks) are guarantees of a strictly “live” sound, appreciated by the audience that has always characterized this group.
